The 3rd edition of the International Literature Festival took place on 19-22 March 2014, while the winner of the European Poet of Freedom Award was announced at a gala ceremony on 21 March at the Wybrzeże Theatre.

The Festival traditionally featured author meetings, discussions, literary workshops, debates, concerts, happenings and film screenings. Admission to all events except the symphonic concert at the St John’s Centre on 20 March was free.

The jury of the European Poet of Freedom Literary Award, consisting of Krzysztof Czyżewski, Agnieszka Holland, Paweł Huelle, Andrzej Jagodziński (secretary of the jury), Zbigniew Mikołejko, Stanisław Rosiek, Anda Rottenberg and Professor Krzysztof Pomian (chairman of the jury), nominated the following poets for the Award after its meeting on 8 November 2012:

  • Iren Baumann (Switzerland)
  • Guy Goffette (Belgium)
  • Toktarali Tanzharyk (Kazakhstan)
  • Pandelis Boukalas (Greece)
  • Jaan Kaplinski (Estonia)
