Versopolis is a network of European poetry festivals from 14 countries that supports young artists and promotes their work beyond the borders of their home countries. It is now in its fourth year and brings together over 160 poets.
Poland in the Versopolis network is represented by the European Poet of Freedom International Literature Festival, organized by the Gdańsk Institute for Urban Culture.
The project was developed under the auspices and with the support of the European Commission, and its main initiator and coordinator is the Slovenian publishing house Beletrina, which organizes the international festival Poetry and Wine Days.
